Following the introduction of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2025 there are upcoming changes to the Scottish Secure Tenancy agreement for all tenants.

These changes include:-

With effect from 1st August 2026

• Additional powers for social housing landlords to help victim-survivors of domestic abuse.
• Succession rights.
• The methods allowed to notify tenants of rent increases

With effect from 6th October 2026

• Specify landlords responsibilities and duties when dealing with Damp and Mould Repairs.

There will be additional changes following future legislation/regulations from the Scottish Government.

We will be directly contacting tenants by letter or email over the next couple of days and there is no need for tenants to do anything at this stage.
